It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Preston Norman Payne of Pratt, Kansas, born in Carnegie, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Payne and Nellie Payne (Giles); and his brothers, Byron, Gary and Kenny.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Doyle; his children, Jeff Payne (Christina) of Purcell, Oklahoma, Shawn Schowengert (Dan) of Coldwater, Kelly Rasmussen (Duane) of Pratt, Tammy Maroon (Tommy) of Pratt and Terri Lipps (Steve) of Fort Myers, Florida; and his brother Charles Payne (Sonja) of Tyron, Oklahoma. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the Pratt Humane Society in Pratt, Kansas or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Preston.
