She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Long and Ruth Long (Stoner); her husband Willis Price Benedict; and her siblings, Robert Long, Wilmer Long, Mildred Oyler, Margaret Boyd, Nancy Bowser and Mary Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Benedict of Modesto, Rebecca Allgood (Tim) of Modesto, Elaine Hirt (Quentin) of Sawyer and Sheldon Benedict (Kathy) of Anderson, Indiana; and her siblings, John Long (Betty) of Pendleton, Indiana, Evelyn Hollinger of Lapel, Martha Hess (Richard) of Chambersburg and Ruth Emma Benedict (Roger) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
