It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary J. Slief in Pratt, Kansas, born in Greensburg, Kansas, who passed away on October 6, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Schmidt and Lorainne Schmidt (Wedel); her husband William "Alvin" Slief; her daughter Carla Wood; and her brother Wayne Schmidt.

She is survived by: her sons, Mark Slief of Haviland, KS and Steve Slief (Pam) of Pratt, KS; and her grandchildren, Darin Franklin, Bryin Franklin (Dawn), Kayla McDowell (Josh), Michael Slief (Katie), Shane Slief (Marissa) and Marshall Slief (Brittany).

Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice or Pratt Area Humane Society in care of Larrison Mortuary, Ltd..
