He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Melvin and Aliene Marie Murphy (Oyler); his siblings, Gene Murphy, Kenny Murphy, Bill Murphy, Charlene Gowens and Dixie Hamilton; and his grandsons, Bill Culver and James Culver.
He is survived by: his wife Christie LeAnn Murphy (Badders) of Pratt; his children, Aaron Murphy (Angela) of Cunningham, Sherrina Murphy (Doug Badders) of Wichita, Connie Bontrager (Malan) of Hutchinson and Jim Badders (Kathleen) of Wichita; his brothers, Bob Murphy (Nancy) of Isabel and Bennie Murphy (Eileene) of Isabel; and his grandchildren, Bryce Murphy, Lauren Murphy, Elizabeth Dies, Helen Doss, Tori Culver (Jay), Ashley Badders and Heather Badders. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
