He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Tibbetts and Eunice Tibbetts; and his siblings, Richard Tibbetts, Doris Ferrel and Shirley Stockman.

He is survived by: his wife Ann; his sons, Jed Tibbetts of Pratt, Chris Tibbetts (Coeta) of Kansas City, Mike Tibbetts (Marie) of Pratt and Steven Tibbetts (Jennifer) of Lee; and his sisters, Pam Tineo of Fort Worth and Marilyn Shortt of Manhattan.
