He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Addison Clyde and Patricia Lucille Mayes (Shinkle); and his sister Diane Fredrick. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Roberta Mayes (Heflin); his wife Roberta; his children, Samantha Sue Mayes (Shane Alloway) of Norwich and Ora Benjamin Mayes of Topeka; his siblings, Glenna Mae Fanning (Richard) of Coats, Perry Ray Mayes of Pratt and George Mayes (Marilee) of Hutchinson; and his grandsons, Nicholas Mayes of Norwich and Christopher Reed of Hutchinson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and aunts.
