He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Melson and Mildred Melson (Hildebrand); and his brothers, Harry, Everett Jr. and Gerald Melson.
He is survived by: his spouse Rahnee Melson (Kazanjian); his children, Cherylan Mendenhall (Reggy) of Pratt, DeeDee Appling (Erin) of Grants Pass, Oregon and Larry Dean Melson of Alabama; his sister Jenetta of Colorado; and his nephews, John, Dan and Joe Melson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
