He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Theis and Rose Theis (Schwartz); his wives, Bonnie Theis (Schwertfeger) and Charlotte Theis (Welch); and his siblings, Betty Tracy, Mary Lou Jarmer, Alice Mertens, Eileen Danahy, Dee Mills, Frank Theis, Ethel Orth and Karol Ricke.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Theis (Amy) of Hutchinson, Molly Morgan of Cunningham and Rusty Theis (Lyndel) of Pratt; his siblings, Jody Meyer of Goddard, Sandy Mertens (Gene) of Garden Plain, Sam Theis (Jeanne) of Cunningham, Sally Fischer (Don) of Kingman and Phil Theis (Gloria) of Hutchinson; his grandchildren, Jerod, Brooke, Travis, Kami, Jaycie Theis, Kendra, Kory and Kyra Morgan; his great grandchild Ella Jean Morgan; and his stepchildren, Clay Truitt, Rodney Truitt (Karen), Mitch Truitt (Kaydene) and Angela Bradshaw (Mike). He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Cunningham EMS in care of Larrison Mortuary.
