He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Lowell and Alice Ruth DeWeese (McCormick); and his brother Kenneth DeWeese. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kay DeWeese (Mall); his children, Stephanie Mills (Sam) of Milan, Christopher DeWeese (Sharlyn) of Lenexa and Heather McElroy (Gene) of Liberal; his siblings, Sharon Rogers (Wayne) of Lawrence and Ron DeWeese (Chris) of Wichita; his sister-in-law Barbara DeWeese of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren, Meghan McElroy of Liberal, Nathan Mills, Austin Mills, Hannah Mills of Milan and Conner McElroy of Liberal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
