He is survived by: his grandchildren, Christina Hylton of La Crosse, Kayla Hylton of La Crosse, Ivan Hurley of Wichita, Autumn and Thomas Bettes; his son Paul Bettes of Colorado; his siblings, Mary Thompson of Dodge City, Nancy Garland of California, Alvin Bettes of Eucha and Kenneth Bettes (Becky) of Pratt; and his great grandchildren, Cherish, Kristian McAlister, Lana Waters, Scott Arnold and Andrew Mauer.
