It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darryl Kennard Horst (Pratt, Kansas), born in Madison, Kansas, who passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tim Horst and Grace Horst (Kennard); his wife Melva Horst (Freund); his sister Darlene Rapp; and his daughter Kathleen Horst.
He is survived by: his sister Alma Walker of Preston, KS; his children, Cynthia Walton of Wichita, KS, Stephanie Stecklein (Doug) of Hays, KS, Rebecca Christensen (Brian) of Clearwater, KS, Brian Horst of Wichita, KS and Jeffrey Horst (Jami) of Hamilton, KS; and his stepson David Rohr of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
