She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Duryea and Inez Duryea (Swearingen); her husband Dale M. Shinkle; her son Kevin Shinkle; and her brothers, Duane and James Duryea.
She is survived by: her son Dr. Harlan Shinkle (Janet) of Pratt; her siblings, Rex Duryea (Bonnie) of El Dorado and Jeanette Spilman of Longton; and her grandchildren, Rhea, Ryan (Chelsea), Kiley Shinkle and Leah Livingston (Daniel). She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Pratt Public School Foundation or Vernon Filley Art Museum in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd, Pratt, KS 67124.
