He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Smith and Leah Smith (Shepard); his daughter Gloria Jean Petersen (Richard); his wife Vivian Adams; his brothers, Lloyd, Marvin and Lawrence; and his son-in-law Richard Petersen.
He is survived by: his cousin Shepard; his daughter Janice Urban (Don); his grandchildren, Jess (Megan) of Marysville, KS and Leslie Rathert (Adam) of Nortonville, KS; his son Morris Smith (Kay); and his grandchildren, Teresa Richhart (Don) of Moline, IL, Tammie Hoeme (Luke) of Pratt, Kristi Gatz (Justin) of Preston, Allen Smith (Katie) of Haviland, Lori Rankin (Roger) of Wichita and Becky Moore of Moore, OK. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
