It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amalia Benavente Gonzalez (Pratt, Kansas), who passed away on December 11, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Benavente and Amalia Benavente (Gonzalez); her husband Rafael; her son Jesus Manuel Diaz; and her grandsons, Miguel Angel Diaz and Angel Ivan Diaz.
She is survived by: her children, Rafael Diaz (Rosa Maria) of Pratt, Margarita Olivas (Esteban) of Wichita, Norma Diaz (Felipe) of Wichita, Blanca Diaz Benevente of Pratt, Maria Del Carmen Gallegos (Julio) of Wichita, Mary Diaz (Fabian) of Chihuahua, Mexico and Jose Guadalupe Diaz (Herminia) of Pratt; her grandchildren, Rafael (Monica), Griselda (Juan), Jesus, Perla, Ricardo (Karina), Gabriela (Esteban), Lolis (Jesus), Carolina (Mechi), Cecy, Lidia "Ezzie" (Prici), Mario (Perla), Ruby (Omar), Sairy (Joaquin), Angie (Alex), Luisito (Mariana), Junior, Keisy and Paloma (Veronica); her great grandchildren, Yesenia, Isabela, Rafael, Monika, Alek, Margarita, Marely, Daniel, Emilio, Camila, La Flaca "Gypsy", Angel, Antony, Giovany, Neo, Yukary, Gael, Mario, Joselyn, Romeo, Carlos, Yamir, Evelyn, Yarexy, Iriany and Leo; and her brother Adan Morales. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
