He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Schoen and Lucille Schoen (Emmot); his wife Carolyn Elisabeth Schoen (Meats); his brother Gary; and his sister-in-law Vicki Meats.
He is survived by: his children, Spence (Joan) of Kansas City, Lance Schoen of Lenexa and Shelli Gill (Mike) of Baytown, Texas; his grandsons, Jacob Schoen of Manhattan, Jaxon Schoen of Lenexa and Andrew Gill of Baytown, Texas; his sister Rose Smith of Holton; his brother-in-law Bob Meats of Beloit; and his daughter-in-law Becca Schoen of Lenexa, Kansas..
