He was predeceased by: his parents, Novel Northrip (Paddy) and Jessie Northrip; his parents-in-law, Darryl Robert Francis and Florence Loretta Francis (Smyth); and his brother-in-law Frederick William Obermiller.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Francis; his sons, Robert Earl Jr., William, Darryl and David; his grandchildren, Emily, Alexis, Alexander and Zachary; his daughters-in-law, Natalya (William) and Iryna (David); his siblings-in-law, Darryl Robert Francis Jr. (Dale Holsted) and Marilyn Francis Obermiller (Chuck Vanderziel); his nieces, Jennifer Obermiller Bennett (Rob) and Kathryn Obermiller Schuehle (Scott); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Vivian, Drew Kate Bennett, Sawyer and James Schuehle. He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The National World War I Museum and Memorial or The Wornall Majors House Museums.
