We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2024, at the age of 88, Nita June Brown of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Nita June has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melrose McCasland and Roberta McCasland (Duke); and her daughter Susan Brown. She is survived by: her husband Orvis; her sons, Tim Brown (Amy) of Overland Park, Kansas and Steve Brown (Jennifer) of New Albany, OH; her sister Peggy Sue McCasland of Fairview Heights, IL; and her grandchildren, Carly, Riley, Zachary and Hannah.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Nita's memory be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc.
