He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack L. O'Neill and Marjorie O'Neill; his siblings, Susan Kathleen O'Neill and John "Patrick" O'Neill; his brother-in-law Roger L. Cobb; and also Mary Kay.

He is survived by: his wife Liz; his children, Kathleen (Kate), Downey (Travis), Jack O'Neill (Katie), Charlie O'Neill and Michael O'Neill; his granddaughters, Theresa, Zelie, Maggie Downey and Collins O'Neill; his sisters, Jeannine Herrera and Cindy Cobb; and his in-laws, Carol and Tom Burke. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
