With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Matthys of Prairie Village, Kansas, born in Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on February 2, 2022 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jerry Matthys to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Matthys and Agnes Matthys (VanCamp); and his siblings, Diane McMillin, Christine Matthys, Brother John Matthys, CSsR and Chris Matthys.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Goldstein of Kansas City; his children, Brian Matthys (Molly) and Julie Manley; his grandchildren, Madison, Sage, Piper, Hana, Cabin, Christian, Sterling, Elsie and William; and his siblings, Bernie (Barbara), Rose Marie Quattrocchi (Joe), Don (Gale), Bob (Linda), Mary Ann Bindley (Bill), Paul (Mary Kay), Joe (Tara) and Jim McMillin (Jessie). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
