We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2020, at the age of 84, Harry William Penland of Prairie Village, Kansas, born in Fort Scott, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry V. Penland and Kathleen S. Penland (Belshe); and his siblings, Tom Penland, Joella and Joetta.
He is survived by: his wife Darleen Wittum Penland; his children, Thomas Penland (Christi), Leanna Penland-Contreras, Joy, George Scarlett, Amy Bartless (Marc), Kelly Brantley (Marlon) and Shane Norman; and his brother Tim Penland. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in honor of Bill to the Shawnee Mission VFW brick wall located at 13817 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66216.
