He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Bemis and Walter Bemis; his brothers, Walter and Richard Bemis; and his grandson Drew Bemis.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles A. Bemis (Cathy) of Rancho Mirage, California and Dean F. Bemis (Claire) of St. Charles; and his grandson Blair Bemis of Seattle, Washington..
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages gifts to the County Club Congregational Church.
