He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond and Norma; and his brother Denny. He is survived by: his wife Macaline; his siblings, Bobby, Wiley Cunningham and Kay Rector; his children, Michael (Scott) and Lisa Herring; and his grandchildren, Kaylyn, Lexi and Deke Herring.
He was admitted into hospice care in July of 2022 due to complications from his Alzheimer's and diabetes.
