He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Newcomer and Alice Newcomer; his brothers, Edward and Rev. Herbert; his former wife Carolyn "Kay"; and his grandson Stephen Alexander Mehrer.
He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy Firstman (Harold) and Nelson (Marcia); his daughters, Kristine Geise (Rick) and Cara Mehrer (Steve); and his grandsons, Matthew and Trey Mehrer.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Village Presbyterian Church (6641 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208).
