Carol Short Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Short of Prairie View, Kansas, born in Canton, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 24, 2024 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reynold Hintz and Ethel Irene Hintz (Gard); and her husband Danny Short. She is survived by: her sons, Rodger (Beth) of Kersey and David (Mary) of Wichita; her grandchildren, Jarrod Short (Amanda) of Greeley, Kellie Cearns (Matt) of Torrington, Justin Short (Ellen) of Colorado Springs, Caitlin Short (Dan Hall) of Augusta, Colton and Isabella Short of Wichita Kansas; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Addysen, Isabella, Colten, Brantley, Alexis, Chloe, Virginia, Daniel, Joy, Harlan and Aryonn; and her siblings, Norma Pankratz of Castle Rock, Margaret Hunter (Stan) of Dresher and Alvin Hintz (Myra) of Littleton. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel (1115 2nd St, Phillipsburg, KS 67661). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
