He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Kaufman and Matilda Kaufman (Goering); his siblings, Dalmer Kaufman (Violet), Wilmer, Leonard Kaufman, Mildred Klaassen (Roland), Leona Schmidt (Menno), Arlene Entz (Arnold) and Jerrie Kruse (Dwight); and his brother-in-law Glendon Klaassen.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Joan Notz of Newton; his children, Richard Kaufman (Sheryl) of Wichita, Elizabeth McBain (Keith) of Canton and Mike Kaufman (Karen) of Lenexa, Kansas; his siblings, Jarold Kaufman (Joan) of The Villages, Florida and Reitha Klaassen of Newton; his sisters-in-law, Jeanette Kaufman of Clark and Beverly Kaufman of Frankfort; his grandchildren, Brian Kaufman, Brenda Dehn (Tyler), Julia Kaufman, Jacob Kaufman and Marilyn McBain; and his great grandchildren, Adeline and Eloise Dehn.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Potwin United Methodist Church or Salem United Methodist Church in Newton, Kansas both in care of Lamb Funeral Home, P.O. Box 358.
