He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David R. Jones and Effie M. Jones (Armstrong); his wife Laura Christine Smith; his children, Debbie Hayes, James Jones of Ottawa, KS and Vicki Engstrom (Daniel) of Ottawa, KS; his sister Letha Coulter of Burlington, KS; his friend J. D. Sanders of Ottawa, KS; his close friend Elizabeth Lewis of Ottawa, KS; his grandchildren, Amanda Hayes, Landon Hayes, Brandon Hayes, Jerry Thornton, Jamie Thornton, Justin Criqui, Shawn Scott and Tyson Scott; his great grandchildren, Cameron, Madison, Marrisa, Kayleah, Domenic, Shawmae, Gia, Makayla, Tyler, Anna, Ashton, Natalie and Kendrick; and his siblings, Shirley Warren and Richard Jones. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
