He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester A. Hoyt and Mary Ruth Hoyt (Campbell); his brothers, Jerry Hoyt and Lester Hoyt; and his sister-in-law Donna Hoyt.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Jo Elliott; his children, Melissa Hoyt Hatfield (Scott), Williamsburg and Michael D. Hoyt (Priscilla) of Hutchinson; his grandchildren, Ethan, Nicholas, Bryce Hatfield, Nathan, Lyndsey and Elianna Hoyt; his siblings, Delma Colegrove (Larry) of Mound City, Ethel Schell (Mike) of Blue Mound, Jack Hoyt (Caroline) of Darien and Doyle Hoyt of Johnstown, Colorado; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Hoyt of Pomona and Glenda Hoyt of Pomona. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
During the pandemic of 2020 Darrel and Connie cherished their time of isolation.
