We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2021, at the age of 92, Betty L. Scott of Pomona, Kansas, born in Lawrence, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Wertz-Hughes and Letha Wertz-Hughes (Pearson); her husband Norman E. Scott; her brothers, Clyde Hughes Jr., Larry Hughes and Billy Hughes; and her son-in-law Jack Goad.

She is survived by: her children, Paul Scott (Denise) of Deridder, Rebecca Goad of Pomona, Norman R. "Randy" Scott of Ottawa and Michael E. Scott of Ottawa, Kansas; her grandchildren, Tarra Rondeau, Erick P. Scott, Jeff Goad, Jarrod Scott, Emily Scott, Dana Salazar, Michael J. Scott, Jed Scott and Kaydence Barrett; and her sister Carol McClure of Kansas City. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the VFW Memorial Post #5901 Auxiliary or Sacred Heart Catholic Church c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, KS 66067.
