She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Gates and Mamie Lohoff Gates; her husband George Edward Trendel; her siblings, Floyd, Ralph Gates, Mabel Tomberlin and Lila Fuqua; her sons, Doug Trendel, Raymond Trendel and Daryl Trendel; and her daughter-in-law Norma Trendel.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Ruth Trendel of Pomona; and her grandchildren, Bob Trendel of Topeka, Joe Trendel of Topeka, Mike Trendel (Kristin) of Lawrence, Kevin Trendel of Hurst, TX, Luke Trendel (Nicole) of Olathe, Greg Trendel (Kristen) and Melinda Ritter of Topeka. She is also survived by her grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
