It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neal Edward Mathews (Pleasanton, Kansas), born in Mound City, Kansas, who passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chesley and Delilah Esther Whitson Mathews; and his siblings, Allan, Joe, Harold, Thurman, Richard, Virginia Wilson, Flossie Amick and Esther Stanbrough.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Jackson-Mathews; his children, Ed Mathews (Laura) and Kelly Cox (Bill); his stepchildren, Jesse Jackson (Sheila) and Jan Nolde (Mike); his grandchildren, Kirstie, Colby, Ben, Lyndsey and Zach; and his stepgrandchildren, Emilee, Levi and Jake. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
