She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schoen and Anna Schoen (Schoen); her spouse Bernardt "Ben" Niermeier; her brothers, Richard Shoen and Marvin Schoen; and her son-in-law Charles Halm.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Niermeier of Stockton, Linda Ireton (John) of Bennington, KS and J. D. Niermeier (Deborah) of Depauw, IN; her brothers, Kenneth Schoen (Glenda) of Overland Park, KS and Everett Schoen (Shirley) of Downs, KS; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Kessler (Cory), Jill Hasseldahl (Kevin), Kate Walker (Adam), Andy Niermeier (Andrea) and Carly DoHoney-Niermeier (Justin). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
