He is survived by: his wife Melinda Jean Ireland of Plainville; his son Justin Dean (Sara Thummel); his sisters, Elizabeth Striggow of Hill City, Sister Mary Jo Thummel of Concordia, Theresa Kriley of Stockton and May Munk of Hays; his granddaughters, Peyton and Lillian Thummel of Plainville; his siblings, Grace Thummel, Rose Hardman, Vera Kruse and Ralph Thummel; and his grandson Cade Andrew.
