It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James L. Karns of Plainville, Kansas, who passed away on December 18, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Rolla "A. R." and Hazel Karns (Jones); his wife Geraldine Hake; his son-in-law Larry Brack; and his siblings, LaDonna Hensley (George), Sherrill Karns and Roger Max Karns.

He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Hoffman (Glen) of Gorham, KS, Maria Simon (Stan) of Plainville, Marianne (Jeff), Martha Blair (Don) of Stockton and Melissa Brack of Hill City, KS. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren.
