He was predeceased by: his parents, Link Jackson and Myrtle Elizabeth Roberts; his wife Martha Gaynelle Roberts (Hendrix); and his daughter Laura Gaynelle Velasquez (Roberts). He is survived by: his children, Mark Jackson Roberts and Melody Elizabeth Ellis; his son-in-law James Ellis; and his grandchildren, Dr. Sandra Ellis (Lucas), Katherine Roberts, Elizabeth Roberts, William Jackson Roberts, Kyle Velasquez (Katie), Ellen Young (David), Anna Martin (Zachary), Sharon Kuhn (Aaron), Charlene Patterson (Edward), Neal Velasquez (Danielle) and Noah Velasquez (Brooke).

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Bob Roberts Scholarship for Printing Management at Pittsburg State University or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
