He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Scott Wood and Edith D. Pearson Wood; his wife Betty Marie Rosenberg; and his siblings, Noel E. Wood, John S. Wood, Dean E. Wood, Lida Mae Overton and Edith June Durham (Ed).
He is survived by: his sons, Roger S. Wood (Terri), Rick W. Wood (Meichelle) and Robert L. Wood (Robin); his grandchildren, Tiffany Wiske (Jason), Regina Winemiller (Isaac), Rachel Valencia (Adam) and Christian Anne Elizabeth (Wood); and his great grandchildren, Logan, Madeline, Autumn Wiske, Fiona, Maya Winemiller, Frankie and June Valencia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Countryside Christian Church (1901 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (6000 Kingman Rd, Galesburg, KS 66740).
The family suggests memorials be made to Countryside Christian Church or Gideon's International.
