She was predeceased by: her parents, Asuncion Ornelas Esparza and Andrea of Luna Cansino; and her husband Javier Castaneda Castillo. She is survived by: her son Francisco Javier Castaneda (Eunice Castaneda Rivera); her grandchildren, Yoselyn, Francisco and Mia; her daughter Maria Bocanegra (Gerson); her grandchildren, Lesly, Daniel and Sophia; her son Andres Castaneda (Hannah Castaneda Salas); her grandchildren, Citlali, Elias, Camila and Xavier; her son Jesus Castaneda (Priscila Gutierrez); her grandchildren, Adrian and Lourdes; her son Daniel Castaneda; her daughter-in-law Karina Castaneda (Rodriguez); her grandchildren, Ricardo, Diego, Kailey, Adriana and Leo; her daughter Pilar Mendez (Ervin); and her grandchildren, David, Esvin, Eva and Analy.
A rosary was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (109 E 9th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762).
