She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip P. McLaughlin and Juanita McLaughlin (Reed); her brothers, John "Buddy" McLaughlin and Luke (Dave Rushing); and her grandparents, Ed, Geraldine Reed, Phil and Catherine McLaughlin.

She is survived by: her daughter Darlene Montgomery (Michael) of Pittsburg; her brothers, Michael McLaughlin of Fenton, MO and Stephen McLaughlin of Racine, WI; her grandchildren, Colton Montgomery of Pittsburg, KS and Megan Clinesmith (Tyler) of Buffalo, KS; her great grandchildren, Marc William and Finley Michael Clinesmith; her nieces, Elizabeth Burman, Christa Cahnovsky, Karen Doss and Erin Mason; her nephew Michael Sean McLaughlin; her friend Sandra Hinton (Jim); and her stepchildren, Chris Rushing, Michele Butler and Jim Rushing.

Memorials may be given to Harry Hynes Hospice and/or Mercy Blue Ladies Auxiliary.
