She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold William Mertz and Lorma Fay Mertz (Reese). She is survived by: her friend Georgiana Williams; her brothers, Leo A, Robert W (Pat), Gene W (Betty), Edward A and Daniel V (Sheila); and also Dawna Alford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home & Crematory - Pittsburg (522 S Broadway St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made in Janice's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or SEK Humane Society.
