With solemn reverence, we commemorate Iris Paulette Newton of Pittsburg, Kansas, born in Fort Scott, Kansas, whose life came to an end on September 22, 2024 at the age of 76, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Iris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Iris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Timothy L. Newton Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Stacie Stoner (Edward), Dana Hernandez and Tim Newton (Andrea); and her stepdaughters, Tonya and Mechelle Newton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Open Door Fellowship Church (918 W 20th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Fort Scott National Cemetery (900 N National Ave, Fort Scott, KS 66701).
