She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Bayne "Tex" and Wilma G. Harrell (Knowles); her siblings, Dr. Charles Bayne Harrell and Judy Ann; her brother-in-law Ray Bicknell; and her son-in-law Tyghe Nielsen.
She is survived by: her husband John Best; her daughters, Cara Kubler (Greg) of Pittsburg, KS, Kim Harland (Marc) of Buffalo, OK and Karin Nielsen of Louisburg, KS; her grandchildren, Camrin Sellers, Kyle Kubler, Kade Harland, Jace Harland, Avyn Harland, Olivia Harland, Kylar Terlip, Breck Nielsen, Lincoln Nielsen, Kelsey Parsons and Jessica Leake; and her great grandchild Bridger Harland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 6:15 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the McCune United Methodist Church (402 6th St, McCune, KS 66753).
The family suggests memorials be given to McCune Methodist Church &/or Hospice Compassus.
