He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy S. Wilkerson and Dorothy L. Wilkerson (Whiteside); his sisters, Maxine Vandry, Wilma Wilkerson and Donna McClelland; and his son-in-law Sam Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Evans; his daughters, Virginia Hughes of Cherokee, Carolynn Burns (John) of Pittsburg, Marlynda Thomas (Clendon) of Buhl and Kathleen Cheney of Pittsburg; and his sister Marilyn Ford of Ozark, Missouri.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home (518 W St John St, Girard, KS 66743). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Cherokee and Gideons International and these may be left at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
