With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Dean Tompkins of Pittsburg, Kansas, who passed away on August 28, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Tompkins and Jetta Maude Tompkins; and his siblings, Vernon Tompkins, Victor Tompkins, Wayne Tompkins, Marion Tompkins, Larry Tompkins, Dr. Carl Tompkins, Garry Tompkins, Jetta Wellman and Marjorie Savoy.
He is survived by: his wife Martha; his children, Steven Tompkins of Pittsburg, KS, Janet Sifuentes (Bill) of Overland Park, KS and Deborah Margaret North of Topeka, KS; his sister Mary Ann Soerries; and his grandchildren, Drake Joseph Sifuentes, Margaret Grace North, Caroline Rae Ann North and Ireland Ann North.
Memorial donations can be made to Presbyterian Church, Fort Hays State Foundation, and/or Pittsburg State University.
