She was predeceased by: her father Joseph H. Engle; her husband David Lloyd Peterson; her brother Joseph H. Engle, Jr.; and her grandparents, Herbert, Wilma Plagens, Allen and Addie Engle.
She is survived by: her mother Margaret Plagens Engle of Pittsburg, KS; her children, Jennifer Wilbourn Huff (C. J. Huff) of Springfield, MO and David Longan (Haley Longan) of Frontenac, KS; her grandchildren, Savannah Huff, Keaton Huff, Julianne Huff, Brenlee Longan and Brody Longan; and her sister Barbara Todd (Loren Todd) of Pittsburg, KS.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Highland Park Cemetery (2025 S Broadway St, Pittsburg, KS 66762).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "Pawprints on the Heartland".
