He was predeceased by: his parents, John Philipi and Lois Philipi (Osbourne); his son Danny Joe; and his sister Marie Collins. He is survived by: his wife Jo Garner of El Dorado; and his children, Bob Philipi (Billie) of Wichita and Beverly Moddelmog (Stuart) of Moundridge.
Memorial contributions in Joe's name may be directed to the First Baptist Church in El Dorado.
