He is survived by: his parents, Walter Schurz and Georgine Schurz (Bittel); his wife Joan; his children, Anthony Russo of Salina, Christina Gantenbein of Abilene and Jennifer Gaytan of Detroit, KS; and his siblings, Bob of Bonner Springs, Rick of Olathe, Dena Vehige of Hays and Connie Breese of Quinter. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
