He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward M. Engling Sr. and Clara R. Engling (Golembiewski). He is survived by: his wife Dee Chandler of Phillipsburg; his stepchildren, Bonnie Garman of Salina, Staci Smith of McPherson, Casey Ralphs of Utah, Stacey Goscha of Tulsa, OK, Trisha McMullen of Salina, Erica Tatro of Salina and Dustin Peterson of Phillipsburg; and his siblings, Edward Engling, Jr. of Natoma, Andrew Engling of Natoma, Anthony Engling of Salina and Christine Hoffman of Hays. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
