He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifferd VanMatre and Lila Mai VanMatre (Heider); his brother-in-law Dean Reynolds; and his stepson Jeremy Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Darla Reynolds of Cedar, KS; his daughters, Holly Anway (Robb) of Kearney, NE and Heather Smallcomb (Cory) of Gibbon, NE; his stepdaughter Rachelle Steckelberg (TJ) of Boulder City, NV; and his siblings, Nick VanMatre (Deb) of Gibbon, NE, Todd VanMatre (Tia) of Gibbon, NE, Luke VanMatre of Gibbon, NE, Gail Jones (Clyde) of Lee Summit, MO and Joan McAuliff (Tim) of Papillion, NE. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
