With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna Kaye Gitchel of Phillipsburg, Kansas, who passed away on June 13, 2023 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Bessie Arlene Schumacher (Kendall); her husband Terry Gitchel; her father Duane Vinsonhaler; her parents-in-law, Melvin and Louise Gitchel (Johnson); her granddaughter Jordyn Doty; and her niece Shay Gitchel.
She is survived by: her niece Kim; her daughters, Tara Burnham (Robin) of Overbrook, KS, Karma Steelsmith (Ron) of Phillipsburg, KS, Shelby Thomas (Andrew) of Leavenworth, KS and Kim Krebs (Fritz) of Atwood, KS; her sisters, Jeanie Scharper (Anthony) of Mahaska, KS, Mary Reiter (Kenny) of Mankato, KS and Shirley Bradley of Tulsa, OK; her grandchildren, Halie, Kennedy, Kihyna, Wyatt, Tehya, Kameron, Garyn, Kymber, Edwyn, Kendryck and Waelyn; her great grandchild Everlee; and her siblings-in-law, Merry Reeh, Dennis, Sandra Johnson, Ralph, Roy, Rick Gitchel, Sue, Bean Lacey and Don Gitchel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
