He was predeceased by: his sons, Tom, Bob and Jim; and his wife Helen Elizabeth Boone. He is survived by: his son Ollie; and his granddaughter Mary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ollie's honor to Wounded Warriors or The National Museum of the Pacific War.
