The memory of Paula Dean Guffey of Perry, Kansas, who passed away on September 21, 2024 at the age of 81, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Dunavin and Ruth Dunavin (Ryan); and her siblings, Jean Colley, Rod Dunavin, Robert Dunavin, LD Dunavin, Garry Dunavin and Dennis Dunavin.
She is survived by: her close friend Ogene Johnson; her children, Tara Dawes (Gregory), Deborah Mellone and James Easom (Lawrence); her brothers, Daniel Dunavin (Peggy) of Winter Haven, FL and Terry Dunavin (Annie) of Princeton, MO; and her stepchildren, Jeannette Johnson and Marvin Johnson. She is also survived by two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and numerous step-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Paula's name to the Jefferson County Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
